A New Way - Agape

Our weapons are ONE = UNCONDITIONAL LOVE [agape]

Matt 25:40 [NIV]    “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and  sisters, you were doing it to me!’

Operating in AGAPE is simply exercising our new way of life, our lives now and the new creation to come. Jesus said Himself, that “Love fulfils all the Law and the Prophets”. Christianity is not a moral religion guided by “Rights & Wrongs”, that’s legalism. Christianity is NOT about “right & wrong” but about “Loving & Hating”. But this ‘New Way’ is not easy, and without boldness [parrhesia] and power [dunamis] it is an impossible up-hill battle against the flesh and all of Satan’s armies.

Resistance comes to us when Satan influences someone to come against us, not because Satan hates us, but because he hates the light in us. We need to recognize his devices and love, without conditions those who don’t deserve our love, this is the only way we can defeat Satan. Satan gets us to hate; hate leads to un-forgiveness; and un-forgiveness is a spiritual cancer which eats us up from the inside… out of sight from all those around us. While we are being eaten up from the inside, we inevitably begin to eat-up those ‘we love’ around us. Un-forgiveness spreads like a virus and is a direct demonic resistance against God’s Kingdom. Un-forgiveness is simply the absence of unconditional love. We refuse to offer others what we ourselves have freely received.

The only way to true FREEDOM, is the liberation and relinquishment of SELF. We need to love God with a FAITH that transcends our understanding. God loves us more than we can imagine or understand. God is bigger than our capacity to understand Him … in His fullness. To be FREE we need to LET GO… not control.

If we dare to make the decision to accept this ‘new’ counter-culture way of life that Jesus modeled and preached from the Mount, God will endow us with His PARRHESIA and DUNAMIS to enable us to live the NEW WAY in Agape.

This in turn will cause our lives to become a public sermon, a pavement exegesis, and we will join the ranks of people like St. Francis and many other faithful men and women of God that have left an un-erasable testimony of the Liberty and Victory we have in Christ. St. Francis was famous for saying…

   “Preach the Gospel at all times, and when necessary use words.”

“Therefore, my dear brothers and Sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain”. [1 Corinthians 15: 50-58]
