Dear
Companions with all my love and prayers please read the
following prayer of our brother and father of the faith of
St Thomas of Aquinas.
My Lord do not forget me,
When I
forget You.
Lord,
do not abandon me
When I
abandon You.
Do not
go far away from me
When I
go far away from You.
If I
run away call me,
If I
resist You
Bring
me back to You,
If I
fall
Lift me
up.
Grant
me, O Lord,
an
alert heart
so that
no vain thoughts could take me far away from You,
an
upright heart
so that
no perverted intention could turn me away from You.
Grant
me a firm heart,
so that
I can resist with courage every adversities,
a free
heart
so that
no lust could win.
Grant
me, O Lord my God,
a mind
to know You,
a heart
to seek You,
wisdom
to find You,
conduct
pleasing to You,
faithful perseverance in waiting for You,
and a
hope of finally embracing You. Amen.
